How Pfuma works

For families

Shop for yourself, or send to someone at home.

  1. 1. Sign in with your phone. We text a one-time code. No long forms.
  2. 2. Pick a local shop. Browse what they actually stock: food, pharmacy, bakery, and household.
  3. 3. Add care notes when it matters. Diet, exact brand, or a short message on the box. Shop staff see this first while packing.
  4. 4. Pay into escrow. Funds stay held while the order is packed and in transit.
  5. 5. The person at the door gets a private 4-digit code. They read it out only when the goods are right. That unlocks the delivery.

For shops

Built for a basic Android phone, tablet, or till.

  1. 1. The owner signs in with a phone number. Staff get their own logins, without payout screens.
  2. 2. Add products in seconds. Photo, name, and price. If the shop uses barcodes, scan them instead of typing.
  3. 3. Control stock. Hide an item completely, or leave it visible as sold out.
  4. 4. Run a sale or a boost. Slash a weekend price, ping nearby buyers for a flash drop, or put the shop higher in the feed.
  5. 5. Orders land on a color board. Overseas senders on one color. Local pickup and delivery on another, so staff know who they are packing for.
  6. 6. Pack from a checklist. Large names and photos. If a brand is missing, the app suggests an equal-value swap instead of cancelling.
  7. 7. Hand off with a QR code. The rider scans the shop screen. That is the moment custody leaves the counter.
  8. 8. Cash out when it is delivered. Escrow unlocks. Move available funds to bank or mobile money.

For riders

Work your own hours. Pay is shown before you accept.

  1. 1. Sign up with your phone. Upload a photo of your ID, licence, and number plate.
  2. 2. A local shop on the network vouches for you. Accounts go live after review.
  3. 3. Go online. Nearby packed orders ping your phone. You see pickup, drop-off, and guaranteed pay. You have 30 seconds to accept.
  4. 4. Talk to the right people. Overseas orders show the sender and the person receiving. Local orders show one contact.
  5. 5. Count, then scan. Check the items at the shop. Scan the merchant QR to load cargo and start the trip.
  6. 6. Unlock at the door. Follow the map. Enter the recipient's 4-digit code. Delivery verified. Earnings hit your wallet. Cash out to mobile money.
